Video rendering freezes

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to render a video, but it always gets stuck at 35%.

I've tried rendering on several different SSDs, but it always stops at 35%.

I have enough space on the SSDs and on the SSD containing my raw footage.

I'm using Vegas Pro 22. What could be causing the problem? Could it be related to the proxies?

Check what is on the timeline at about 35% of the project. Make a loop at that position and see if you can render just that loop.

Since the failure always happens at the 35% point, are all the original video media around that 35% point in the appropriate folder from which the proxies on the timeline were created?

Two other possibilities come to mind:

  • At least one of the original video media is corrupted in some way; or
  • A VFX or combination of VFX on a timeline video event is causing a problem.
