I have a video that has black bars on all four sides. I realize that if I were to expand the video to fill the border (thus getting rid of the black border), and render the video at its native resolution, that the video would begin to pixelate because of it being larger.

However, what if I were to expand the video (again getting rid of the black border), but instead of rendering it at its native resolution, I rendered it at one far lower, such as 360x240 (half of the original). Would the video still pixelate since I enlarged it in the frame, or would the fact that I'm rendering it at a resolution less than the original file's compensate?
