Video Stretch in Multicam

I have audio that I am matcing video to by means of stretching the video to sync.

If I do this and create a multicam track, will the stretch be rendered useless and the video go back to it's previous, unstretched state?

I know that pan crop doesn't stick but really hope stretching will be permanent.

Thanks for any insight or advise from past history.

The only way I know of to solve your problem is to sync each original video from each camera (with your stretch method) and output the synced video to an intermediate version that you then combine into a new multi-camera track.

You didn't say what the subject matter was. It might be easier to cut the audio to match the video. Do it in the "empty" spaces obviously, between words, phrases or sentences. HOWEVER if there is music you would not be able to do it that way.

Thanks for the replies. I had to put it on the back burner for a few days. The subject matter is teaching.

I just read your replies and went ahead, anyway and tried to create the multicam track. It seems to be maintaining the stretch. I will push through into MC editing tonight.

I was hoping for someone to say "Oh ya, I did that, no problem."

Leave it to me to try something off the wall that no one else has.
