video subtrack / group track?

Hi all, is there a way to create a subtrack or group track in V13 that I can route several video tracks to?
I have this situation where I have 9 tracks tiled up in a multi picture window, all of which should be desaturated and FXed running in the background of another main clip shown moving on top of the multiclip window. I'd like to route and group the tiled clips all to one subtrack and apply the main output FX there instead of having to do it one by one, making Vegas choke even more on top of the track motions.
Is this possible, like in an audio software like cubase? Could not find any info in the manual or on youtube.

Cheers!

How about a nested project?

When I want to do something like that I normally render out that video to a new file. It helps Vegas respond better when editing & makes troubleshooting mistakes easier.

A nested project will have it choke at least as much as if you did it in project.

Hope I understand your requirements correctly.

How about:
1. Add a new empty video track and move it to immediately above your 9 tiled tracks.
2. Make each of the tiled tracks a child to the new empty video track.
3. Now add the required FXs to the empty video track, the parent, as track FX.
4. Move all the added FX to the right of the "Composite" square (i.e. post composite).

The new empty video track acts as a grading layer.
Hope that works.

Thanks a lot Willem, that's exactly what I meant.
After giving it some thought, I decided to render the video wall , it does cause a lot less stress on the project when it's not running in real time.

Thanks everybody!

I was under the impression that's what you were doing.

Glad you got it solved!
