video won't show in Movie Studio

I have a wmv video file that will play using windows media player but when I import it into Movie Studio 6.0 the video track is just black. I converted this file from a mp4 file which also does the same thing.

Can anyone help?

You need to tell us exactly what kind of format you're trying to play. Also, it might be an idea to install the trial free version of Vegas Platinum 10, to see if it behaves better than your old version of Vegas.

Thanks Eugenia. I downloaded trial version Vega Platinum 10 and it worked. I guess the 6.0 version would not read wmv filed that I generated from original mp4 recording.

Platinum 10 supports MP4 directly, so you can just edit the original file, so you don't lose quality this way.
