Videofactory 2 + new DVD drive versus Screenblast, thoughts?

All,

I have downloaded Screenblast, but do not know if I will purchase it. Can someone help me with a couple feature questions that I can't find in the forums?

FYI. I do currently have Videofactory 2.0c (a great editor!)

1. Currently I do not have a DVD burner. If I purchase 1 that comes with MyDVD (which most do), is there still any benefit to upgrading VF2 to Screenblast?

2. Hopefully someone can help me with a screw up. I downloaded the Screenblast (SB 3) trial and opened a Videofactory (VF 2) project in it. After working in it for a few mins, I saved over the VF 2 file with the SB 3. Now I can not open the project in VF 2. Is there a way to repair this file so that VF 2 can open it?

TIA

Forget about MyDVD for a moment. Take a look at the new features in Screenblast Movie Studio on the product comparison page and see if any of it appeals to you. Personally, I would pay the $29 to upgrade just to get the third video track alone. But in addition to another video track, Screenblast MovieStudio has chroma key, new video FX, new transitions, etc. I think it’s worth the upgrade even without MyDVD. Your mileage may vary. ;-)

ms 3.0 has chromakey.... that alone is worth it!

there arent many DV apps that has chromakey in the $99 price range!
