Videomaker Summit NYC

Any input of how valuable this is. I have done a few short documentary / informational style projects and I want to build my skills and see what others are doing.

I wanted to get into the 2-day documentary seminar, but it is full. :-(

Any previous attendees to these presentations?

Here's my two cents, Chris... Many of these "seminars" or "summits" (seems rather heady) are just one more way to seperate us from our hard-earned dollars.

I'm of the opinion that you'd be just as well off buying a couple of good books on the subject then go out there and make videos. Some organizations, like the IDA (International Documentary Association) have as much or more to offer as any seminar. Granted, you may make some contacts at such a meeting, but you can do that for free.
