Videos taken on "Avid DNxHD Quicktime"

I am using a Black magic shuttle and taking videos on "Avid DNxHD Quicktime"
I would like to transcode those files for Vegas but don't know how.
Could someone explain me what program I should use and which Codec.
I would very much appreciate an accurate and simple instruction, since I do not understand to much about Codecs, Sony Vegas and English.
Thank you if someone is taking the time to explain it for me.

There is no need to transcode to use your video in Vegas, but of course you do not have to render in the same codec.

You'll want to to download and install the Avid LE codecs; they show up as MOV format in Vegas.

Actually there might be a need of transcoding the footage as too many MOV files and Vegas or QT will choke on it.
