Videos taken with Avid "DNxHD Quicktime"

I am using a Black magic shuttle and taking videos on "Avid DNxHD Quicktime"
I would like to transcode those files for Vegas but don't know how.
Could someone explain me what program I should use and which Codec.
I would very much appreciate an accurate and simple instruction, since I do not understand to much about Codecs, Sony Vegas and English.
Thank you if someone is taking the time to explain it for me.

Just install the Avid DNxHD codec on your machine and any version of Vegas should be able to edit directly on the timeline without transcoding.
