View Audio Levels

Is there anyway to set up Vegas Pro so that I can see the audio levels as I capture the video and audio from a source?

I don't think so. You could just take the analog audio from your VCR / camera into a set of VU meters, you can get a very basic audio mixer with some form of metering quite cheaply.
