I just found out about this myself - Go to Options-Preferences, click on the "Video" tab, and the second line down is titled "Show source frame numbers on event thumbnails as:" and select Timecode from the drop-down list. Once you have this feature enabled, the cool thing about it, is that directly beneath the timecode is a small triangle that is a locator, which is the exact location (I work in the department of redundancy department...) of the thumbnail shown on the timeline.

Thanks for pointing that out.

How about the other information in the data code, such as date and camera settings? Is it possible to see these settings?

I haven't yet found a way to see the *other* information, but wondered the same thing. If I wish to reference the date and/or camera settings, I usually do this while I'm logging the tape. It shows up on the camera viewfinder and the external monitor, but not on the VV preview monitor. I figured this was some type of camera only function. Anybody have a better/more accurate answer?

The date and time when each clip was shot are listed in the Recorded On column of Vegas Video's Clip Explorer spreadsheet.

Click the Capture Video icon on the Media Pool toolbar, and then select a tape name (or all clips) from a group tree displayed at the left side of the Video Capture panel.
