view real time data in vegas?

Canon XL1s records actual date and time on tape and you can view date and time by pressing DATA CODE button on camera remote control. Is there anyway to view this info, and turn it on and off, in Vegas?? This would be very useful in syncing two camera shoots, i.e., speaker and audience.

Video Capture supports this via its Clip Explorer's "Recorded On" column.

Thanks deef, is that documented? I would never have figured that out. for syncing, it would be great if there was some way to view this info frame by frame on the timeline in vegas, but I don't think that's possible.
