Viewing newly downloaded videos

I went on vacation and when I returned I had 248 seperate clips on the camera. (Sony HDR-SR8). After downloading to a folder on the Disk, I brought up Picture Motin Browser ver 2.1.00, and when I clicked on a thumbnail, the video played but it was purple.

Anybody else have this happen? When I bring the clip into Vegas 8.0, it looks fine so I think there is an issue with PMB.

Also, is there another way to browse clips?

I don't have any background with your preview software. I usually just go to the Vegas "View-Explorer" tab and double click to open the clip in the Trimmer Window. I can then preview the clip et al - see the manual regarding the Trimmer Window - very powerful. Make sure you have "Options-Preferences-General-Double click on media file loads into Trimmer instead of Tracks" enabled.
