Does anyone know anything about the ViewSonic NX2232W LCD monitor? I'm interested in how it performs for video editing. How true are the colors? Other than being smaller, how does it compare with the Dell 2407WFP-HC performance wise? Is it compatible with the ATI X1950Pro video card?
I edited for a long time with a 1680 x 1050 screen like this one, then I got a Westinghouse 24" LCD from Newegg (current price ~$350), with 1920x1200 resolution and never looked back.
And I don't even work in HD (where I would really appreciate getting full resolution).
Check out this thread for more info on the Westinghouse, just noting that the price has dropped a bit since September.
I bought two of these: one for my PC workstation, one for my Mac, sitting side by side. Both are free of bad pixels, and the picture viewing angle is very close to 179.9 degrees.
The picture off an ATSC tuner is shockingly good. Yes, really that good. This is a really good 1080P and you won't miss anything.
Ditto for watching DVDs from an uprezzed DVD player. WOW!
I spent $59(?) on a 3-year warranty in case of any future trouble, peace of mind is also good to have.
I will second that. No better way to go that 1920x1200 on a 24" monitor! My second monitor is a 19" Sceptre that gets used too. You cannot have too much space. When the 19" goes I plan on buying another 24".
