It’s kind of like a swiss army knife. It’s a free utility that has a set of internal filters and good collection of externally written filters for doing all sorts of thing with AVI files. Some of the filters are like those found in VF, e.g., brightness and contrast, levels, color balance, blur, etc. and some will do smart resizing or 2:1 reduction, or deinterlace, and other do things like noise removal (temporal cleaning and smoothing) or even remove those annoying logos from the bottom of video capture from TV stations. It’s just a handy tool to have in your kit.

Barb, Thanks, I figure if you can’t laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at? ;-) I haven’t updated the site for a while and I really do need to get some VF and VV info in there. I’ve been collecting tips and techniques also that I really need to get it up there to share. You’ve inspired me to get off my butt and get it updated. Thanks again,
