Viscosity Question

I didn't see a Viscosity forum, so I thought I'd post this
here. I know I won't get much help but I'll try.
Does anyone know how to make circles appear to "ripple"
through the air? Like if you've seen The Matrix you know
the effect I'm talking about, when the bullets fly through
the air and you see the ripples surrounding them.
Can I do a similar effect in Viscosity? I've gotten as far
as drawing numerous circles and blending them and such, but
I can't get them to "bend" my video image that I laid
behind it. I want it to look wavy, which I can't do. Is
there any possible way to do this?
If not, are there any other good, simple programs that will
let you do such an effect?

I've got Viscosity also, and I'm still wondering why it
doesn't have it's own forum. Stream Anywhere, Soft Encode,
Siren and CD Architect all have their own forum, and yet
they're not even the type of programs you can do creative
things with, like Viscosity.

As to your question, You'd probably be better off using a
3d program for that effect. Although I think it would be
possible to do it in Viscosity. Use the circle selector,
create a circle and then go to the filters menu,
deformations and select circular waves. It's probably the
best tool for the job. Just make a few adjustments to get
the look you're after. You'll need to animate it frame by
frame though. To get the positioning right, just take note
of the x and y positions so it doesn't end up all over the
place. This might be time consuming. Good luck with it.

Thank you very much. I had tried that already but not with
the circular waves filter, so I'm playing with that now.
Still not quite the effect I'm going for... then again, The
Matrix had millions of dollars worth of computer software
and equipment. I just have my 933 Dell.

Is there a way to add a transition to all frames? Like
right now I have 51 individual frames of circles. It starts
on the left side of the screen in one frame, relatively
small, and then I kept copying, pasting, and adding a new
circle to each of the following 50 frames. So it starts
with one circle, but by the time I get to the 51st frame, I
have 51 circles in it, each getting gradually bigger.
Now, I want to apply a fade to this so that the circles
appear to flow into each other. Is there an easier way to
add transitions? Cause right now what I have to do is
individually select the two frames I want to transition,
set the transition, then move on to the next two frames.
There must be a way to apply the same transition to all
frames within one project.

I somehow don't think there is. To be honest, I haven't
used the animation side of it that much. Such a feature
would be nice. Maybe SF could implement something like that
in a later version.
