Vista 64 hijacked my AC3 encoder

I got an advice here to install DVDA 5,0 because I had problems doing bluerayprojects with DVDA 5,0a.
I had to uninstall DVDA 5,0a to be able to install 5,0.
When I start DVDA 5,0 I must run it as an administrator (my Vegas 8,0c and Vegas 9/64 runs normal).
I´ve registred DVDA 5,0 on line without problems.
Now to the problem.
I cannot render AC3 (pro) anymore when trying a sign tells me I have
to buy the AC3 encoder from Sony.
This goes for DVDA 5,0,5,0a,5,0b and Vegas 8,0c, Vegas 9/64 too.
It must have something with Vista security to do.
I´ve tried all settings in Vista security but I´m stuck.
Have run Vegas since 3,0 and DVDA since 1,0
For now i render video on my Vista pc and the audioportion toAC3 on another computer but it feels rather stupid having to do so.
Its probably a Vista issue but the Vistaforum seems almost dead so I I posted here.

It might be worth installing DVDA 5.0b as a start.

Thanks for reply!
I uninstalled DVDA 5,0 and installed 5,0b and registred it on line
but it doesn´t help.
The AC3 encoder is not present either in DVDA Vegas 9 or Vegas 8.
It must be a Vista security issue but I cannot understand why its just
the AC3 encoder that don´t function.
Vegas 9 and 8,0c I can open directly but DVDA 5,0b I must run as administrator.
DVDA 5,0a ran without "administratoropening" befora I uninstalled it.

I have the same problem. Sony support was no help. Told me to do clean install, made no difference. Have you found a solution?

This is really only a guess, but sometimes software doesn't fully uninstall and remnant can prevent a new installation working correctly. It may be worth uninstalling, making sure all installation folders are empty, running the Microsoft clean-up utility (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301), then cleaning the registry and finally reinstalling Vegas and DVDA.

Good luck

Sony gave me detailed instructions on uninstalling and cleaning registry but no luck. I'm thinking of a clean vista install and starting over.

I discovered that the UAC was on without my knowledge
probably after a windows update.
I shut the dreadful UAC off and now I have my Ac3 encoder back.
So check the UAC after updating Vista.
