visualJockey + Vegas = Ultimate

Check out visualJockey, the ultimate real time visual tool (Made in Switzerland). If visualJockey and VegasVideo could combine their skills into a single product, the world would be right again. visualJockey offers over 146 plugins (8 blur effects alone). visualJockey is not a replacement for Vegas, but a companion. It is a tree based, composition program, unlike any other pro-sumer software out there. I am one of a hundred or so licensed owners of visualJockey. I am a Madison native and a long time Acid and Vegas supporter/owner. Sonic Foundry should talk to Josua of Visual Light (parent company) and see if a relationship is feasible.

How about you mentioning this to Josua, and maybe even Satish?

BurstingFist,

The restrictions on the demo seem overly restrictive to me. I had some interest based on the description, the tree-based editor, and the gallery, but the Visual Jockey website said:

Demo Version Limitations

Those multiple limitations seem like "overkill" to me. A fully functional limited time demo would be more tempting.

I hear ya on that, I wish I could have the visualJockey team make the demo less restrictive, but they are quite bogged down with new features for the upcoming release. You might want to check out http://www.petewarden.com, Pete offers a whole bunch of top quality, free plugins for visualJockey (radial blur, gaussian blur, photoshop filters, glow, etc.). This might entice you to drop the $99 for the base version, I know it did for me (though I ended up getting all the plugins too)

Satish may be interested to know that visualJockey has an API for writing new plugins, there are already quite a few people that write free plugins (Pete even shares his source code!)
