Can we get valid serial for NewBlue fro VMS14 platinum?

Hello. This is an issue we see sometimes for various NewBlue plug-in activation issues in support and have found this is actually an issue with the plug-in connecting to the NewBlue server properly. They should be able to get the Titler plug-in's activation button enabled for you. Sorry about that!

response from New Blue: you are trying to activate Titler Pro 1. You cannot activate Titler Pro 1 with a Movie Studio Complete serial number. Titler Pro 1 will get a watermark in Movie Studio 14. The titler bundled with Movie Studio 14 is Titler Pro Express.

So I am a bit confused. I'll try uninstalling New Blue and reinstall again.

After looking at that dialog box more closely, I had opened the wrong one. However, I still can not activate using the correct Activation dialog box. Waiting on New Blue tech support for an answer.

Ok after a few emails back and forth with New Blue, would appear I don't have the correct new Blue Titler. When I run VMS14 and add New Blue Titler to the timeline, I see New Blue Titler EX. According to New Blue, it should be Titler Express. I don't know the difference, but the tech said they have different serial numbers.

Nightmare over - I think. I ended up restoring a disk image from a month ago. Reinstalled VMS14 and then NewBlue. When I go to the VideoFX Tab, I see Titler EX (?) and add to timeline. This time it asked to register. I typed my name/email, but there was no place for the serial#. Click ok and popped up Thank you for registering. Guess it should work now, but i have no idea what product I registered.

I contacted New Blue and they said it only works with the watermark.. I don't think ggrussell actually can use it without the watermark, Can You?

I was trying to enter the serial number in the wrong dialog box for Titler Ver 1 (latest version is 4) and yes, it only works with watermark unless you buy it. The version with Vegas Studio has always been a 'lite' version. Somehow, I still have two other versions on my PC. I'm still not 100% sure I have Titler EX installed correctly even though I got a dialog box saying it was registered. It's not something that I use a lot.

TtilerEX shows up in my MS14 suite and I can open it but watermark prevents it from being useful... They have made it this way to block access to our previous version.. I looked at the MS13 version of TitlerEX on the serial number sheet we got when buying the boxed version and they did not include a serial number on 13 version it said it was not needed.. Thus now when we try to use the plugin on the 14version it does the watermark. Purposeful design.. Magix still should have included TitlerEX in the "complete" version of NewBlueFX suite.. I see it as "incomplete" without TitlerEX.. TitlerPro is basically worthless as far as customizing anything. If Magix wants us to continue to be customers for future releases they will give us TitlerEX now.. If they do not we will find alternatives. It is that simple.

I have been back and forth on this with them.. They say the Titler Pro Express is included not the TitlerEX using the TitlerEX is only allowed with the watermark.. Did you get a serial number for the TitlerEX? It works without the watermark?

Would seem that Magix was sent a bad installer package. My Titler no longer works - again - even though my serial number is properly registered in the Activation manager. I completely uninstalled ALL New Blue from my machine including NewBlue from other software. I then reinstalled ONLY NewBlue-vegas-studio-platinum-complete_1_0_0_0.exe. When I launch VMS14, NewBlue doesn't show up at all. Nothing - no Titler - no transitions. I've contacted NewBlue support again.

I found the directory where the transitions are installed, but I never found titler.exe .

Please see this thread for some help. If you are having issues with NB Titler or FX, please log a ticket on the NBFX website. Their support is usually fast and reliable.

Something missing in that thread? I see no explanation on the versions of Titler. I've contacted NewBlue several times on my installation and so far, not much help.

So no more Titler in Platinum and sounds like Titler Express is fairly crippled if we can't design our own. I will no longer pursue fixing this issue and remove NewBlue completely. Just sounds like another greedy company trying to get more money out of consumers.

I am pursuing Hitfilm 4 Express.. I have previously downloaded it.. and I purchased the Boris Continuum Complete plugin.. It wasn't too costly.. It has a learning curve but it might be worth using.. I like Hitfilm as well it has some nice features.. Between the two programs I am sure I can make some nice things.. I actually made a nice DVD intro using Hitfilm Express.. It might be worth pursuing for you.. Hope this helps.. I don't think NewBlue deserves our continued Loyalty..

These no longer have the 'NewBlue' name in front of them so easy to miss. There are no New Blue VideoFX and there is no Titler Express in the VMS14 Platinum version. If you have the full Suite, then Titler Express should also be installed.

I have the Suite version.. I see TitlerEX but it shows watermarks making it unusable.. By Titler Express you mean Titler Pro Express yes that is in there but also not usable because it is not customizable only the text letters can be changed not the fonts..

Then you have the correct version. Titler Pro Express is very limited compared to previous versions included with Vegas Studio. TitlerEX is from your install of VMS12 or 13 and will not work in V14.
