VMS 11 Trimmer in/out

Anyone else having trouble assigning in and out points with the trimmer?

I load in an mts file (regardless of AVCHD camcorder) and the "i" and "o" don't do anything. Same thing with mpg and mov files. Tried the in point/out point icons - no luck. They just don't work. Restarting VMS11 doesn't help. Anyone else have these problems?

Update: I installed b231 update over the original V11 - no change in behavior. Uninstalled V11 via add/remove programs. Then installed V11 (b231). Still no luck.

I'm curious if anyone sees this or any other thoughts about how to fix it?

Thanks for your help!

Still no luck. Waiting for customer support to get back to me. Interestingly, I had the same issue back with VMS 9b and it had gone away when I moved up to V10.

No problems here, the trimmer works as expected with VMS11 although I haven't used it much as I usually do everything in the timeline, I'm very much a beginner so perhaps I'll get round to it .

If you have "Collapse Loop Region" turned on, it doesn't work properly.

Jet,

You are an absolute genius! It worked!!!!

You need to a write a newsletter about all of those hidden tricks!

I can now edit happily with my preferred method.

For those reading this, the setting is in Preferences>Editing>"Collapse Region when no time selection is present". This should be unchecked.

The VMS11 help file states, "When this check box is selected, the loop region is reset when no data is selected. If the check box is cleared, the loop region will retain the last selection."

It should also say that it interferes with setting the in/out marks on the trimmer!

Thank you!
