I just upgraded from VMS 10 to 11. I can no longer render with the Cineform Codec. I use Cineform NeoScene to transcode all of my source video prior to editing. Any clip that does not have any editing effects AND exactly matches the output format passes through fine (a message says no compression is necessary). But it the clip requires any kind of processing or format change, the output is incorrect.
My output video looks mostly black and white with a purple vertical stripe every few pixels. Also, the left ~1/4 of the image is repeated on the right side of the screen. It appears to me as if the pixel format is wrong.
Any suggestion on how to resolve this?
Why I care -
My goal is to produce AVCHD files which I can later burn to BluRay disk. But if I have transitions or special effects in the project, the AVCHD render frequently crashes (I have done the >2GB work around) or the transitions flash. So I get around this by rendering to Cineform 1920x1080, and then render that as AVCHD. Since the transitions and effects got applied during the Cineform process, I have a better chance of having the render complete without crashing.
