VMS 13, upgrade or wait?

Hello,

I own a copy of Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 which I pretty much stopped using after a few months because of a fatal bug that caused the program to crash randomly when rendering longer segments at 1080i. The following year when VMS 10 was released, I was dismayed that the bug was still there. (it had something to do with the fact that the VMS executable was 32-bit and not large address aware, so it starved itself of memory and crashed).

I see that VMS 13 is a 64-bit executable, so does that mean the bug has been fixed? I've since moved on from recording 1080i to recording 1080p24 and now 1080p60. I just rendered a 3-minute test project at 60 fps (it was tough getting the export profile to work but I managed it... does CUDA rendering not work with the trial license?) and it worked without incident, so I'm inclined to believe that the problem has been solved.

Also, are there any other major issues to take into consideration? Should I pull the trigger on an upgrade to VMS 13 now or wait until VMS 14? Any idea when that's coming?
