VMS 8 crashes with large project

Hi!
I'm editing a +1 hour video with VMS 8 and since I reached about 75 minutes of assembled mpeg clips imported from my Sony DCR-SR200, VMS 8 crashes repeatedly after adding few more short clips to my project.
I've had the program freezing, unable to write to memory, unable to preview video clips, won't allow mpeg drag and drop into the project time-line, etc.

Where can this be coming from? How can I solve the issue?

I'm running VMS 8 on WIN XP SP3 with 2GB RAM, AMD X2 64 3800 processor and 2 EVGA nvidia 7800 GTX in SLI. The VMS 8 program is installed on x2 250 GB HDD in RAID 0 - stripping. I've allocated 6140 MB swap file.

Any suggestion is very much appreciated. Thx.

Make sure you have enough free storage. Also make sure you don't use too many high megapixel pictures, they must be resized beforehand into project size. If that's not it, then make a bug report with Sony on their online form.

Thanks for the leads.
I have plenty storage so that might not be it. My footage are raw from the video camera and my PC is well within the specs that are required to run the VMS smoothly I assume.
I'll use the error report form and check with Sony.
Thanks again.
