VMS 9 Pro - Lets see if I have this right....

With Sony VMS 9 Pro, which I have, and a AVCHD camcorder (which I have - Sony HDR-SR11), I can capture AVCHD clips, edit them in VMS 9 Pro, and play them in High Def on my computer. But I STILL can't burn them to a Blu-Ray DVD with the DVDA 4.5 that came with VMS 9 Pro? Am I right or wrong? Can I then use Nero 8 Ultra with optional Blu-Ray burning at this point? What's the point is all the upgrades and Hi Def camcorder if I STILL can't burn a Blu-Ray DVD?

You burn the Blu-ray disc from within VMS (no menu).

You're both correct....

Yes, Gerry VMS 9 (any version) still comes with DVD A 4.5 which can not burn Blu-ray, BUT for some strange reason Sony added burning BDAV (no menus) directly from the timeline in the video editor.

Just received a new email offer I couldn't refuse so I ordered VMS9 Pro myself. I'll check cross my fingers and hope that Sony will release DVD Architect 5 Studio later as a free update.

Thank you both! That's what I was hoping to find out!
