1) My guess = lots.
2) My guess = they won't tell you. VMS has a bit of a reputation as a way of producing certain kinds of "entertainment" video.

"Entertainment." Ha! But hey, that makes sense on a certain level.

I used VMS for almost two years in my business before switching to Pro. I make scuba videos of divers on vacation. They come on the liveaboard dive boat and spend the week. I dive with them and be sure to get lots of footage of them seeing this or that. The fish aren't wearing any clothes, but everyone else is : )

Mostly live music performances - VMS is great.

"Entertainment" videos.....hmmmm.....that thought never occured to me until you mentioned it. That gives me some ideas.....just kidding.....LOL.

Actually the reason why I asked was because I wanted to get into the webmercial business. I wasn't quite sure if this program is suitable for it or should I be looking at the Pro version?

I'd say it's suitable enough..... download a trial and see for yourself.

Check out this tutorial (and link to another) to enhance your video's quality on the web:

Thanks for the link MSmart. I'll watch the video when I get a chance.

I actually went out and bought VMS 11 last week based on reviews. I still need to play with it a bit before I know what I am doing. From what I've seen so far, it looks like it may fit my needs for now until I can afford the Pro version. The videos you directed me to should help out quite a bit.

There isn't any difference in quality or workflow between the Studio and Pro versions, and very little difference in capability either. The Pro version adds primarily more tracks and scripting capability along with some higher-end and more esoteric features. However, almost anything you can think of doing can be done in the Studio version just as well as in the Pro version.

Thanks for the input Chienworks. I'd hate to spend all that extra money on the Pro version when I could get almost the same results from VMS 11. Like I mentioned, what I basicly want to do is webmercials and other similar projects. Nothing too complicated at all to start with.
