VMS Platinum 8 install over prev?

I have snooped around a bit and could not find the answer to this
one. I currently have VMS Platinum 8.0b installed (and registered).
If I want to install the new release - 8.0d, can I just install over top
of the old one ? and does it have to be re-activated again ? or
do you need to un-install 80b first ??

Second part of the question -- I just recently got the full Vegas 8 -
can I install that on the same machine ? will the co-exist peacefully?

Yes - install over top.
No - no reactivation.
No - no need to uninstall.
Yes - can install both.
Yes - both are very happy together.

Just remember though, if you open a .vf project in Vegas Pro and save it, you won't be able to open that .vf file in Vegas Studio afterwards. Always make copies of the .vf files before opening them in the Pro version, or save them as new .veg files.
