VMS v14 - "An error occurred preparing the image

Just came to create a first Blu-Ray disk using 'Make Movie' from 'Project' menu.

VMS14 went through the rendering video and audio, then came up with an error message:

"Failed to connect to an IPC port: Could not find the file specified."

Gathered this is associated with Windows .Net services, so enabled what .Net features I could find (under 'Turn Windows Features On or Off').

Tried again, as above, this time came up with a different error...

"Status: Found two different objects associated with the same URI, '/28913297_0eae_4c03_bce1_7042a707ac66/Callback'."

[VMS rendered and burned the same movie (16:9) to DVD without problem.]

Hints, clues, pointing out the obvious, most welcome.

Been having the same problem. Using Win 8.1 & keep getting different error messages. Can make DVDs but cannot make Blu-rays with either Vegas 12.0 or 14.0. Have uninstalled and re-installed 14.0 and have the same problem. Very frustrating! Did not have this problem a few months ago.

Appears to be sorted out now.

The second error message ("Status: Found two different objects associated with the same URI, '/28913297_0eae_4c03_bce1_7042a707ac66/Callback'." ) suggested to me that there may be some file or other in one of the folders that VMS uses (i.e. 'Vegas prerendered files', 'Recorded files folder', or 'Temporary files folder') that perhaps was of the same name as, and couldn't be overwritten by, a file VMS needed to produce (e.g. the .iso file?). So I created new empty folders and respecified them in the 'Project properties' 'Folders' tab and 'Preferences' 'General' tab).

Whatever it was, that seemed to do the trick.

I am having the same issue with "Failed to connect to IPC port", so I saved to a new folder on a different drive. I can find project drilling through libraries, but VMS 14 can't  find it when trying to burn Blu-ray. I select "burn existing image", then "render parameters" grays out. Next I choose "browse" and drill to the new folder on drive, VMS shows folder as empty. Can you help? DVD's are not big enough for project.
