I'm looking at the trial version, downloaded a few days ago.

It does not have 1920x1080 output templates by default (that I noticed, anyway) but when I created a custom template I was able to specify 1920x1080, and it did render out to that size.

As for AVCHD, there is a "Sony AVC" output option, and again, I was able to custom-specify a 1920x1080 output size. (My output using that option looked lousy, but I'm guessing I didn't quite tweak the output template to match my source files correctly.)

Also, on a similar subject, there is a default project setting for 1920x1080 as the overall project size when setting project settings.
