VMSP11 and DVDAS won't load

Hi,

I am having problems with VMSP11 (and DVDAS, Soundforge still works fine though), it was working fine on Friday evening but when I fired my PC up yesterday and tried to run VMSP11
it wouldn't work, i won't load/run.

I have Windows7 64bit. The version of VMSP11 and DVDAS are the original ones that were installed from DVD, I have not downloaded any of the patches.

If I double click on the icon on my desktop, the round windows "thinking" icon comes up for about a second (the harddrive light as well) and then nothing more happens i.e. VMSP11 doesn't run (same with problem DVDAS, but Soundforge loads up just fine).

I cannot uninstall it as when I try and uninstall it Windows comes up and says it cannot find the msi file and wants me to browse around to find it.

Because I can't uninstall it, if I try and run the installer on the DVD then it comes up and says that the programs are installed and I must uninstall them if I want to re-install them again.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

You could try something like the free version of Revo Uninstaller or Ccleaner, possibly followed by a registry cleaner, then reinstall.

Thanks.

Tried revo, while revo was doing it's thing I noticed one of the error messages that came up was "netwrok resource unavailable can't find blah blah blah".

But I have never had my pc on a network, all my programs and data are on my hard drive in the PC!

Anyway, revo finished up and I was able to re-install VMSP11 DVDAS and SFS.

Lo and behold, VMSP11 and DVDAS still do exactly the same after a re-install! (Sound Forge worked fine, although it now wants me to re-register it).

Any further suggestions?
