Hi there,
I have a problem when i drag a VOB file from a DVD to the time line Vegas Pro 9e. This VOB file is 0.99GB. I used a sony cam to shoot an event and recorded in a sony DVD recorder directly (built-in HDD 250GB). Later i burn this event into a DVD from this recorder because i am not able to transfer the footage to my PC. This DVD recorder does not provide any firewire or USB for video out except RCA video out. This even is 1 hour and 20 mins but when i drag the VOB into the time line, it became 15 second only. Where did go wrong and how to do it the proper way? Plz help. Thanks.

You should not just drag the VOB file from the DVD you should use:
File > Import > DVD camcorder disc

This will extract the mpg files from the DVD and put them in your project media window.

What format does the Sony cam you're using record to?
Just curious as to why you're recording to DVD?

Ok, but what format does the camera itself record? And why not use that?
