VOB files to timeline

First time doing this. Needed to edit some DVD footage with other footage. Instead of capturing through a transcode I copied the DVD to the hard drive and imported the VOB files into the media pool. No problem there.

It built the audio peaks for all three VOB files as it entered the media pool, but when I put the video files on the timeline there were several seconds of audio missing at the end of each file.

Anyone know why?

If you have 6.0c did you :
File / Import / DVD Camcorder Disc ?

Someone else has posted the same problem so it must be common. Doesn't anyone have any ideas?
