Voice Over

When I try to insert a voice over in a track, I arm the track and then when I start to speak the colour bar jumps up and I can hear the sound coming through my speakers, but nothing is recorded. When I press the arm button to stop the recording nothing happens no window pops up.
I have checked all the settings in prefs and my soundcard shows up ok...

Any ideas please...

After you click the Arm button in the track, are you then clicking the Record button in the transport toolbar? Is the cursor moving in the track?

Dam I feel so thick... thanks mjhig that's what I was not doing..... But having said that I did not see it in the manual to tell you to do that.... Anyway thanks for a quick reply
