Voiceover

I have installed Vegas Pro v14.0 (64-bit) on Win 10. When I try to record a voice over, the track has no "Arm for Record" button. When I select the "Arm for Record" on the drop down menu, the track head switches to monitors but no "Arm for Record" button. When I select the task bar "Arm for Record" button, everything proceeds as normal. Except that the voice is not recorded. The mic works on other software. Any suggestions.

Maybe you need to select a different audio driver via the audio track header.

Thank you for your response. Under what title would you find the audio track header in the device manager. Or are you referring to something different.

Assuming VP-14 is like previous versions, your sound card or interface should be selectable in "Options > Preferences> Audio Device".

I don't know what you mean: "audio track header in the device manager".

Each audio track's header has a button right beneath the "arm" button which enables to select which driver to use for the audio recording.

Maybe "driver" isn't quite correct and it should be "Input Device" instead.

I do not have the first 3 buttons show in Marco's photo. I have tried the 3 middle options shown in RRaud's photo. No change.

Yes, you do:

Thanks Guys, for your help. I don't believe that I ever covered up the arm button before.
