Try adjusting the Master audio, the slider next to the audio meter to the right of the Preview monitor window.

Yes, that will adjust *all* the tracks ... but .. if you have an envelope to raise or lower the volume at certain points on one track ... the master volume will not work to send that info to other tracks.

I set up an envelope for one of the audio tracks then copy and paste it to the others.

I don't do a whole lot of audio manipulation, but can't you just add a volume envelope to the Master Audio Bus? Edit: Whoops! This looks like a feature of Vegas Pro, only - I'll leave my post here just in case someone needs to reference it.

I've never seen that audio track in Vegas Movie Studio HD 10, amendegw.

How did you add it to the timeline?

"I've never seen that audio track in Vegas Movie Studio HD 10, amendegw.Steve,

I'm terribly sorry, as soon as I made my post I checked the product comparison and found out that Audio Buses were Vegas Pro only. See my comment above that starts with "Edit". I decided to leave my post intact (except for the "Edit" statement) because in might be helpful to some who currently uses Vegas Pro or someone who might want to upgrade to get this feature.

fwiw, the Vegas Pro command is View->Audio Bus Tracks; Insert->Audio Envelopes->Volume

It's a very nice feature. Thanks, Jerry!

Sounds like it can't be done using buses in the version I am using?

GaryDZ, how do you copy the envelope?
GaryDZ wrote on 4/15/2011, 1:25 PM
It's a bit tricky. From Help type "copy envelope" in the index and select "copying Envelopes and Envelope Points". Then select "Copy an envelope to another track". The step by step instructions are there.

You first have to add an envelope to all audio tracks. Then customize the envelope in one track. The tricky part is selecting that envelope to be able to copy it. If you first double click above the time ruler as Help instructs you to do then I am able to select it, otherwise I can't. From there it's just copy and paste.
