As far as I've been able to determine there are only those preset
values available in the context menu when you right click on a point.

I agree that setting the envelope points precisely to a given level
can be tedious and a bit of a hit and miss task with a mouse, so it
would be a nice touch to be able to use a keystroke combination like
CTRL|Up Arrow/Down Arrow to set an individual point precisely, in
predetermined intervals.

Then again, the audio envelopes are a such a handy feature as they
are that I wouldn't want to muddy the water by gaining something
there just to lose it somewhere else due to feature bloat.

Last night I used this feature extensively while comping together
vocals for a client who had many takes that varied quite a bit in
volume.
It is a great feature that works flawlessly and sure beats riding the
faders! Aside from being able a little touchy to set/adjust the
value exactly, I have found that when adding points with the mouse
(Try and boost a syllable or word here and there, which means two
points at each spot!), it is very easy to throw the value off by a
tenth or so, so I have to double check by holding the cursor over the
point to see its value. Still, I agree with Karl in that bloat can
bog down a program, so, a few extra mouse clicks aside, Vegas is
working well in my studio.

I agree some CTRL or ALT or SHIFT sensitivity similar to the track
faders would be useful for envelopes. Have you used the keyboard
shortcuts in the Sonic Foundry EQ Track FX plug-in? It lets you
keep frequecy or amplitude constant or change only bandwidth. Check
the help section on those.

As a slight help, a trick I use is to extend the track to bevery large
in the vertical (amplitude) view so that one track takes up the whole
screen (i.e. you only see track 1 and it's about six inches tall).
This way you can get finer control of the envelope points. You
can also select multiple envelope points and move them as a group.
Sorry if you alread know about this trick.
