VP 12 is still opening weirdly in Win 8.1 64bit on my Toshiba 1920x1080 laptop.
The splash screen opens at regular size, then moments later, it shrinks as if the screen resolution changed, then the Vegas workspace opens, but it's all fouled up with odd windows in various places and about 75% of the size it should be. I click the enlarge-to-full-screen button in the upper right and the undersized Vegas windows centers itself. I have to click it again to get it to fill the screen.
But even after forcing it to full screen the fonts are tiny and distorted.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled and CTRL-SHIFT-launched to clear parameters, all to no avail.
I've messed with changing screen resolutions. No matter the resolution it opens less than full screen.
I've adjusted font sizes in the control panel.
