VP 13 crashes when stabilizing 4K Video

About 1 out of 5 attempts to stabilize 4K MP4 video from my GH4 results in VP 13 crashing. There's no obvious correlation with scene complexity or anything else I can see.

Rendering the subclip at 1080P then stabilizing works.

What does your system utilization look like before crash? Use something like speccy to verify there is no overheating going on. CPU overheat generally shuts down the system, GPU probably just crashes.

Try converting sample footage to XAVC-intra and test for crash.

I have the same issue. Never found a fix, a correlation, or a way around it yet. And GPU on/off seems to make no difference in my case.

I've never seen any GPU utilization during stabilization but all the CPU's are pretty much pinned.

It could be your card but I'd bet your processor is to weak. Trying to edit HD footage with less than a 3.0 Ghz clock speed is pushing it. I had an intel i7 2.8 GHZ and it crashed constantly. When I went to an i7 4770K it all stopped. When I first edited 4K-64mb/s mp4 video, the GPU couldn't handle it for previews but stabilizing it was OK.

My next step - dual quad-core zeon. This has been the benchmark for AVID certified machines for years.

any GH4 people have any luck with this yet?
