VP-17 Cannot load a Canon 5D MK. IV UHD .mov file

Former user wrote on 8/5/2019, 12:36 PM

There was a previous long post about a 40 file clip limit on these MOV Canon files, thought it might be worth checking if it was fixed.

Well it appears to have got worse, not even one clip can be loaded, VP16 can of course load close to 40.

Error message ...

On a side note, I tested the "make blue-ray .iso" bug that had appeared previously, not this time so far is ok.

It is very possible that these files require QuickTime to load. The QuickTime plugin in VEGAS Pro 17 has been turned off as QuickTime is no longer supported on Windows. You may, however, reactivate the QuickTime plugin by going to Preferences and selecting the "Deprecated" tab. From there you can turn on the QuickTime plugin if you still need it.

Ok @VEGASDerek I'll have a look at that and let you know, thanks.

@VEGASDerek Ok, that solves the problem of loading the files. Problem of about 40 clips still exists, VP18?

I do have a small interest in this issue, with others, also as I do use my 5D MK. IV.

I imagine that issue had to take a back burner while extensive testing of the new features was done to make sure they didn't break anything. Now that we're post-launch, it may get some love in a v17 update.
