Could your power supply be on its way out and not putting enough voltage out for GPU rendering?

Knock on wood, Roger, I MAY have found the problem, which apparently has been caused by two different things:

1) I created a new project from start-to-finish with the questionable clips.

2) I uninstalled Title Pro 6 and reinstalled it yet once again. It still has one quirk, but I am able to work around it for the time being.

With the new project I Have a 2 minute program that includes several titles, and SFX, along with shortened clips. I tried a number of renders, all with NVENC using my graphics card, and this seemed to work. I want to keep this thread open to report back on future projects, so here's hoping for the best.

Thank you again for your sage advice, wonderful suggestions, and hanging in with me here, Roger!!

Richvideo, I wan't ignoring you!! As you can see, I THINK I resolved the problem (above). Good suggestion, but not only did I rebuild my PC just a few years ago, but having had a few bad power supplies in the past I am aware that I would have noticed a slew of other problems with my system! Thank you for your input!!

I hope you solved it and can get back to editing.

FINALLY, AN APPARENT RESOLUTION!!! WE HAVE BEEN BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE AND HAVE LED OURSELVES ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE!!!

For some reason, the New Blue Color Fixer Pro plugin has caused all of the anomalies that I reported experiencing when used in ANY version of Magix Vegas Pro in which I tried it (VP 18, VP 19 and VP 20). Having stumbled upon this as a possible source of the problem, I substituted a similar Boris Effects Plugin in the place of Color Fixer Pro and have not experienced any problems whatsoever! Eliminating Color Fixer Pro apparently has resolved the issue!

I have regained FULL use of my graphics card and set the RAM Preview at 50% of my installed RAM. No problems editing or rendering (at full speed) during the past half dozen or so editing sessions!! Knock on wood (LOL)!

Thanks again to everyone who chimed in to try to help, and I'm sorry that you all wracked your brains out. So the moral of the story is ALSO to check out if plugins may be the culprit when such anomalies arise BEFORE jumping through all of the hoops that I had to go through! What an educational and learning experience, though!!

Thanks again!!!!

If you have 32GB of ram or less I would keep dynamic ram preview on the default of 5% or give it a few GB if you are actually making ram previews (shift + b). Otherwise it's taking away ram that VEGAS can use for other things.

Since I do utilize RAM previews quite often, I have lowered it down to 5GB (16%). I'll see how the workflow is affected and further adjust as necessary. Thanks, Roger.

check out if plugins may be the culprit

@Videoimpressions0622 That's what I'd have done first, or one of the first things, start with the basic videos then methodically add the plugins - play/render & see what makes a difference.

Just out of interest I tried TP7 & New Blue Color Fixer Pro, this is what it did to my GPU, I tried it on longer clips but couldn't make it cause problems,

What version of Color Fixer Pro do you have installed?

What if you set it to CPU only (turn off the GPU)?

If you're having an issue with Color Fixer Pro, please do report it to NewBlue support with as much information as you can provide.

Hi, Edward. I had the current version of Color Fixer Pro (whatever that is). I also had Color Fixer Pro loaded twice, once as a standalone and at the time unbeknownst to me there was a version included in one of the multi plugin packs I had purchased that ALSO was installed, so I uninstalled both of those and reinstalled just the newest standalone plugin. Yes, I DID turn off the GPU, and of course I have a trouble ticket on the New Blue Zendesk that is a mile long (LOL), working with a great tech named Steven. Bottom line is that regrdless what I have done (all of the Vegas Pro 19 tweaks on/off, uninstalling and reinstalling ALL of my New Blue Plugins, etc., and hours of fiddling around, once I discovered that Color Fixer Pro was the culprit and I eliminated it from the equation (and even substituted the similar Boris FX plugin and turned on all of the GPU settings), everything now works great! Color Fixer Pro USED to work just fine with my setup, but as I stated started acting up about a month ago (in retrospect) when I began my inquiry. I do not know what has caused the problem, as no one else can replicate it. However, if it's solved it's solved and I can work just fine with the Boris FX plugin and the rest of my various plugins. Too bad I can't pinpoint the EXACT cause of the problem, though. Thanks for staying in the loop, Edward--your advice always is top-notch!!
