VP 20 stuck on splash screen, then crashes

Installed VP Pro 20 on my laptop (Aorus 17" Intel i7-12700H with 32gb RAM & RTX 3080 card). When I try to start it, it gets all the way to the end of the splash screen, then crashes at "creating windows" and the error report pops up. I've uninstalled it, re-installed, tried running as Administrator, makes no difference. Still crashes at the same spot - has never actually started. VP 17 & VP 19 work on the machine (obviously VP 19 still has its usual crashes, VP 17 is perfect)

Don't really know where to go from here with this.

Any ideas???

What's in the error report when selected?
