Running VP 17, bld 421, If I select a clip and hit the Delete button while the track is playing, Vegas hangs, though the audio (only) keeps running. I need to give the 3-finger salute to close VP via Task Manager and hope I saved recently.
Has anyone seen this?
This is its unique feature. if you delete something on the fly, vegas usually stops working.
method:
wait two minutes or turn Vegas off.
@Widetrack unfortunately it's not unusual for VP to hang in that situation. It seems to happen less for me with 17 vs what I saw with 15 but you are best off building the habit of stopping playback before altering events on the timeline.
Having said all that, I have found that 9/10 times this happens, if I just wait and do something else while VP deadlocks, vp will come back to life after several minutes
