VP16 Is it possible to move all markers at once?

Qoncussion wrote on 12/20/2018, 2:49 PM

I have a large project with many (oh so many) markers, that I use to remind me of certain edits. At some point along the way, while using ripple editing, all of the markers got pushed to the right by about a minute - so they're no longer lined up with their original position in the video.

Is there a simple way to drag all of the markers together back to their original locations? Ideally, I'd like to drag one of them back to its proper location and have all of the markers after it (to the right) follow.

Possible?

Thanks.

I found that by hold down shift and individually selecting each marker, I am able to move them as a group. Yay!

Are there any other ways to move just the markers in unison?

Post edit ripple ctrl-shift-F moves affected markers and regions too.

Selecting markers uses regular Windows nomenclature:

To select a consecutive group of markers you may left-click a first marker in the group you wish to form to highlight it, then hold down the [SHIFT] key while you left-click on the end marker in the group you wish to form and all the markers in between become selected. You may also hold down the [CTRL] key while you left-click any marker to select it or de-select to or from the group.

Note to self (everyone else please look away -- the note that follows is a reminder for mine eyes only): Figure out a clever, kick-booty signature that suggests I'm completely aware of how to properly and exhaustively party on and that I, in fact, engage in said act on a frequent and spontaneous basis. All joking aside, listing my computer's properties is a futile endeavor. I edit multimedia in a local television station newsroom that has Vegas Pro installed on several machines with widely varied specs. We began editing non-linearly with Pinnacle Studio Version 8. That didn't last long before we upgraded to Vegas Video Version 4, then to Vegas Pro 10.

Thank you kit and Turd (heh). That got me back to where I needed to be!
