What I don't know or what is your trick once you set a title font, color and shadow... but you want to check it with different animation? It seem that each animation option in VP19 the presets is stuck with it's "non" animation related settings and one needs to start all over again.
So what you do?

@FayFen - Using VP19 B643, I can not repro. All is working as I'd expected. Changed Shadow, Fill and Outline, applied Animation, and all working:
I also did these two tests:
1 - Applied animation first and then changed Shadow, Fill and Outline.
2 - Applied Shadow, Fill and Outline first, and then applied animation.
Working as expected.

I select one of the built in animation, say "title 6", so I get this
Now I paste my text and set all other parameters......
But... now I want to check my text with animation title 14
and all the work must start from scratch.
You select another preset and not another animation, another animation for your text you select here:
