VP22 hub login NOK, VP21 hub login still OK (since yesterday)

Since yesterday evening (11 October 2024 local European time) I cannot use text to speech as the Hub login hangs endlessly at log in. I tried logging the hub out and in again, restarting the PC, etc...

The issue persists today as well.

The strange thing however, is that I can successfully log in and use the Hub in VP 21.

I am currently in windows 11 - version 24H2 (build 26100.2033)

@bitman, I also cannot log into Vegas Hub since last night (10-11-24) USA Eastern time zone. I just tried again and login spins. I am running Vegas Pro Suite 22 365.

Still does not work, I tried deactivation /reactivation the Vegas 365 suite license, starting Vegas as admin, temporary disabled firewall / anti virus, restarted internet modem, but I think the issue maybe is on the Vegas cloud side or a recent combination with a windows update?

But why does VP21 Hub works and VP hub 22 keeps 3 balling me, that is weird. For the rest VP22 itself works fine...

@bitman, Using Vegas Pro Suite 22 365, Build 122. Just tried again as of this post, Hub will still not connect.

I also posted in this forum a few weeks ago that Hub was not giving me a option to download 4K content. I did contact Magix support and I can now download 4K content when I can connect to Hub. Also as a 365 Suite subscription I am supposed to receive 100 GB of cloud storage, I am only getting 50 GB of cloud storage.

There is a Vegas Hub team that my concern about 4K content was forwarded to by the Magix support team.

I am just going to file another support ticket to Magix

Always a good good idea to submit a support ticket, but it is week-end now, if the Magix support is in Germany I would not get my hopes up in a fix soon. Thankfully the German October yearly beer fest is finished, they may have a hangover though!

FWIW, in an a parallel life I do systems integration with HubSpot and ConfigureOne, both relying on Azure and/or CloudFlare services. They went sideways a couple of days ago. HTTP/500.

Given the massive size of these organanizations, neither seemed to know about it until I created a WTF support ticket.

@ChrisD @William-Massey things will start to work eventually (I suppose when ISP or local network cache is cleared or the DHCP lease times out), but maybe you can speed things up by following actions:

Maybe something you could try is to force an a new IP address from your ISP

Method 1: Renew DHCP lease: You can try to release and renew the DHCP lease by using the "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew" commands in the Command Prompt. This will request a new IP address from the DHCP server.

Method 2: Disable and enable the network adapter: You can try disabling and then enabling the network adapter in the Device Manager. This will reset the network adapter and may (*) cause it to pick up a new IP address.

(*) Note: make sure you do have a new IP address, method 2 it is not guaranteed...

Alternatively with connection issues, one could try to flush the local DNS cache.

  1. Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  2. Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
  3. You’ll see a message confirming the DNS cache has been flushed.

Unfortunately, mine is still down and none of those methods worked :( Hoping it gets resolved soon, of course it's not long after I just bought 200,000 new text-to-speech characters. Don't appreciate being left in limbo wondering what's going on regarding a service I pay for.

@K-Chase that is weird, as this "cloud" issue affected quite a lot people, nobody as far as I see in the various posts except you had an issue with VP21. All effected were VP22, VP21 was always working (I experienced it myself on the same PC- hence the title of this post). Your issue may be something different and local to your HW or situation.

@Devin-Worlds In case you have VP22, it will eventually work, even if you do nothing - you just need patience, the issue is not the client side HW or fault. I know it sucks, but that is the price of being dependent on cloud services and network...
