VP8.0a: Another render crash.

Vegas 8.0a crash while mpeg2 rendering (preset DVD-A Pal video stream) with the following error:
“An error occurred during the current operation,
an exception has occurred”

It never happens at the same time (can be at 10, 20, 60%…)
My main project consists on 1 AVI file and 13 nested VEG files (multicam) for a total length of 83 minutes.
Each multicam project consists on 3 DV AVI file and 1 Mpeg file (Sony DVD Camcorder).

I tried and checked many thing with same result:
CPU temperature is OK
Complete uninstall/reinstall
Dynamic Ram preview set to 0.
Maximum number of rendering threads set to 1.

When I renders each chapter of my main project independently, I don’t get crash.

I use Vegas since many years and it’s the first time I get a render crash.
Very frustrating!!!

Some of error I get:

We can add this to the other threads regarding render crashes.
Memory allocation/ handeling problems with vegas 8

I get a similar crash on 8a when rendering to MPEG2 using nested segments. I tried rendering the first (32 minute) separately and it works fine. Also, this project rendered correctly under Vegas 7. It consistently fails to render under 8a.

Since successfully rendering this project under Vegas 7, I upgraded to version 8a and added a multi-processor HAL onto Windows XP Pro. My error popup is below:

Before rendering, try that:

After several attempts, I managed to render without crash (total rendering time = 4,5 hours).

I get these exact same crashes on VP8.0a, even when rendering a single DV file to mp4 or mpg2. It happens about 40% of the time and there seems to be no consistency to it; it can happen at when the render is at 10%, 60%, 90% etc.

I found a way to render without crash: I copied and pasted my Events in a new project.
With this rebuilt project, my render don't crashes any more.

Strange... isn't it ?

I'll add to the list. My project is crashing on rendering as well. In the past with Vegas 7 I have had projects with 20+ tracks render without a problem. This current project on Vegas 8 is simple... 2 tracks, one with music and the other with pictures. (No video)

Vegas crashes with a memory access violation when rendering to mpeg or wmv. I've opened a support case but am interested in what others have found.
