I just downloaded the trial and it is 72.5MB.

72MB for V8 is half the size of 140 MB V7. On the Trial for full version.

And where is that separate Media Manager download. If it's separate. Because my trial copy of V8 says the Media Manager wasn't installed. And I still can't figure out how to fix it. The V7 MM still works fine.

According to this post: Attention: Just to clarify... Media Manager the ForumAdmin said the trial of the Media Manager is available from the same page as Vegas Pro 8 and DVD Architect 4.5.

I think there's a bit of confusion here... the ACTUAL vegas Pro 8 file is 135m (I believe that's not including media manager??)

At any rate the COMPRESSED download is smaller, but it may just be that they're using a better compression scheme

That's right. Download was 75MB's, final program is 135MB's.
