VP8 - why does 32-bit look different from 8-bit?

STSA... you might be hitting upon some Vegas bugs? I would try tech support. It could be something to do with what effects + filters you are using, and what formats/codecs you are using. Both behave differently between 8-bit and 32-bit.

I seriously doubt that your system can't "handle" it. Unless you have absurdly low amounts of RAM or something like that.

I have quite new Core 2 machine at 3.4M and 4G of memory, 500G Serial ATA drive ... I don't think it's the machine.

What I do is probably somewhat unique, ie, most of the video I do is rendered from still photos in a myriad of ways ... PNG files usually. I could be related to larger images, but I can't seem to narrow it down to that exactly.

I'm sure it's some kind of bug ...

STSA, you might want to try Sony technical support.

And/or you can try posting a new thread with your problem and maybe somebody can point out a workaround. My hunch would be that using smaller images (resize them down to 2X your project dimensions beforehand) and/or playing around with the RAM preview size might help.
