Just curious, but I'm wondering why you guys are pushing ahead and trying to work through the many problems in 9a? After what I just went through just by sticking my toe in the water with it, I can't imagine anyone working in 9a for weeks without killing a couple of people. What is the major reason you work in 9a and not 8c?
I have two PC’s that I edit on one has 9.0 and the other 9.0a
with 9.0 I never had any issues that prevented me from getting content out and as I upgraded all my veggies did too so projects that were in different stages in the pipeline from 8c got finished in 9.0 as I couldn’t go back because 8c wouldn’t open the veggies so I stuck it out
on my other PC 9.0a is on so I used heroglyph for all the text I never had a problem that was a nightmare and just worked around the other issues
one project I had to put on hold as it bombed on both 9.0 and 9a I went back and redid in 8c but when reopened the veg could only in 9.0 with issues
in fact in the last 4 hours of editing I’ve sent a few notify tags off had a few reboots and head bangs to contend with but still got the stuff out with 9.0a
and a few issues that some alcohol sorted out so at worst I am with 9.0
"Good to hear guys that you haven't lost your sanity . . "
Well, speaking for myself, and not Rory, I lost mine years ago. And that was over Vegas 6 and Media Mangler.
I have an arts project - a Mosaic Project video for a client - that I'm gonna start in VP8 and when and IF it is in time I might just consider VP9b. This current VP9 > VP9a project is giving me grief on Paste Event Attributes and Pan rotations. Text is non-existent and I can't think of the other stuff?
I think we all have been adult-like about this. And I am sure part of the announcement from SCS Madison was recognition that they would be speaking to listening grown-ups.
I will say, I hadn't realised just how dependent I had become on PEA-ing! As to MBL. it now "appears" to be holding its own, again.
