Many things can be wrong here but to look any further, we need your system spec, especially GPU model and driver you are using.

Thanks for the specs. Have you tried starting Vegas while holding down CTRL+SHIFT? This will reset Vegas to its initial stage. Have you upgraded your video driver lately?
