VST Automation bug?

I just downloaded v6.0b demo today to try it out. So I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but it definately acts different from using DX plugins.

When I use a VST FX and choose to automate a parameter in that plugin and then grab the particular slider in the plugin that I wish to automate, it creates an Undo item for every individual parameter adjustment. It creates so many undo items that when I go to the Undo menu, sometimes it just sits there for a few minutes before it shows all the undo items just to list all the undo items because there's so many. When I use a DX plugin, it creates 1 undo item after I do the same thing to allow me to quickly undo the automation if I don't like what I did. This seems to happen for all VST plugins. I even tried out Izotope Ozone 3 where I have a DX version and a VST version and see the same different behavior. I think I prefer the DX behavior because it allows me to quickly undo the automation I just did if I decide I didn't like it without having to scroll through a gazillion undo items.

I believe there is an option to turn off undo history for plugin perameters. If you do this, all you need to do to "undo" is keep a note of the settings or save a preset before making changes. Either way will save some undo history. It's not perfect but hopefully this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion James, I will give that a try to see what happens. It just seems a bit odd to me that it works differently between DX plugins and VST plugins. Why would the DX version of the same plugin create only 1 Undo item and the VST version create a bunch of them, when I'm doing the same thing? Maybe it's just a feature of VST plugins that's not in DX plugins?

Well I tried turning off "create undos for FX paremeter changes" locateded under the general tab. This did nothing, I got the same results.

The reason I was interested in V6 is because my Ultrafunk Sonitus plugins are only automatible with the VST versions and V6 added VST support. I found 3 bugs within 15 minutes of trying out V6. So it seems Sony doesn't even test out it's audio features anymore. Well at least they offer a demo, so I could find this out before I bought it. Thanks anyways.
